World Migratory Bird Day

Join The Friends of LLELA Saturday, May 9th to celebrate the World Migratory Bird Day (WMBD): “Every Bird Counts.” WMBD is an annual awareness-raising campaign highlighting the need for the conservation of migratory birds and their habitats. This year’s event will feature a live raptor presentation from the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center, plus many activities for everyone to enjoy! - Guided bird walks, hands-on demonstrations, birding and nature apps, crafts and games for kids, and exhibits from local partners.
