Join the Visual Art League of Lewisville for its monthly general meeting at Lewisville Grand Theater. Each month in conjunction with the general meeting, VAL produces an “Art Talk” series of known speakers and art demonstrations that are free and open to the public. Join us for an engaging evening with CJ Miller, artist, writer, and speaker, as he talks about “The Practice and Play of Spiritual Asemic Drawing.”
How do we access that intuitive part of ourselves that reveals what is truly unique in our expression? And how does the body inform our Creative DNA?
In this interactive presentation, local artist and writer CJ Miller will share insights from his book The Spiritual Artist. He will introduce the practice of spiritual asemic mark making and show how his own work is rooted in this process of connecting with Creative Intelligence.
Because true learning happens through experience, participants will be guided through a hands-on asemic drawing exercise using crayons, movement, and music. In this practice, you will act, listen, and respond—allowing your marks to unfold into a visual dialogue with yourself and others.
Come discover your original marks and explore how they can reveal a personal language on which to build your creative voice.
CJ Miller also produces The Spiritual Artist Podcast and leads annual Spiritual Artist Retreats. Learn more at www.spiritualartisttoday.com.
