North Texas 2019 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Loving the Diversity of Our World Art and Photography
Saturday, Jan. 26 - Saturday, Feb. 16

On Monday, Jan. 21, 6:30 p.m. the Committee to Commemorate MLK Day will celebrate the 26th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with their civic event and contest winner announcement held at Marcus High School. The organization expects to award over $5,000 in cash prizes to students from 4th-12th grade in three categories: Essay, Art, and Photography this year. The contest theme for 2019 is Loving the Diversity of Our World.

Winners of photography and art works from the contest will be on view in the North Corridor Gallery. Gallery hours are Tuesday – Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and evenings when the building is open for public events.

To reach MCL Grand from Interstate 35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. MCL Grand will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets, or at Lewisville City Hall across Church Street from the center.
