The Castle Hills Fall Festival is returning to the Castle Hills Village Shops on Saturday, October 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. The event offers fall-themed, family-friendly activities for the whole family. Admission to the festival is FREE and everyone is welcome! The Village Shops is located at 2520 King Arthur Blvd. in the Castle Hills community in Lewisville.
This year’s festival will feature bounce houses, carnival games, face painters, a balloon artist, a trackless train, costume trunks and photo booths, giveaways, fall arts & crafts hosted by Design Time art studio, and more. Pumpkins will be available to purchase and decorate for $5 from the pumpkin patch, with proceeds benefitting the Hebron High School Choir. The popular Humperdinck the camel is back along with the rest of the exotic petting zoo. A DJ will keep everyone entertained and take-out concessions will be available for purchase from several Village Shops retailer locations as well as a popular local food truck.
TKO Libations, the Village Shops’ craft brewery, will host the event’s 2nd Annual Chili & Cornbread Cook-Off, sponsored by the Castle Hills HOA. All Fall Festival guests may purchase a $5 ticket at the event to taste the dishes and vote for the winners.
Guests are encouraged to come to the Village Shops early to enjoy food and beverages from the Shops’ many unique retailers, many featuring fall-inspired menu items. Pumpkin spice lattes and donut holes are back at Sophia’s Kitchen. TKO Libations’ fall beer menu includes its award-winning Gingerbread Monster Winter Ale. The Salty Cow’s menu includes a Gourmet Grilled Cheese Panini with truffle pecorino, creamy fontina and gruyere. Other Village Shops restaurants include PI.E 3.14 Everyday Eatery, which serves hand-tossed specialty pizzas; T.B.D. Kitchen, which offers Latin inspired food and drink; and Kanzi Sushi & Hibachi, which offers traditional Japanese cuisine including fresh sushi. The Village Shops is a one-acre-plus site featuring tree-shaded walkways, gardens and numerous water features, including the very popular interactive water fountain and shaded outdoor seating.
