Lewisville Lake Symphony with Kyung Oh

- Introduction: South Korean violinist Kyung Ah Oh, will perform Prokofiev’s "Vionin Concerto No. 2" with the Lewisville Lake symphony on Sept. 15.
South Korean violinist Kyung Ah Oh, winner of the 2017 Lewisville Lake Symphony International Competition for Strings and Harp, will perform Prokofiev’s Vionin Concerto No. 2 with the Lewisville Lake Symphony during the opening concert of the 2017-18 season. The concert will take place at the Medical City Lewisville Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles at 7:30 p.m.
Praised for her “water-like, smooth, deliciously crafted phrases” and her “rich, dark lower range” (Classical Voice of North Carolina), Ms. Oh is quickly establishing herself as a young artist not to be missed. She won first prize in the New York Artists International Competition in 2016, resulting in her Carnegie Hall debut recital.

Lewisville Lake Symphony is one of seven local groups receiving funding from a City of Lewisville grant program designed to foster cultural and fine arts in the community.
Medical City Lewisville Grand Theater is the premier public arts facility in Southern Denton County. The 40,000-square-foot facility features a 296-seat proscenium theater, Black Box theater, dance recital hall, art gallery, five art classrooms and a large courtyard.
