Wildlife Nature Preserve
Enjoy one or two day adventures in Lewisville's Wildlife Preserve along the Trinity River by exploring Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area (LLELA).
This beautiful nature area contains a variety of habitats, including prairies, bottomland hardwood forests, wetlands, and cross timbers forest. This preserve offers a diversity of wildlife from deer, bison, and bobcats to avian species including falcons, eagles, wild turkeys and dozens of other exotic birds. Activities include canoeing, kayaking, hiking, fishing and camping along the Trinity River.
Lewisville Lake
Lewisville Lake offers 23,000 acres of recreational activities including fishing, boating and hiking trails. Playing host to a variety of tournaments each year, the lake is large enough to accommodate a variety of water sports from water skiing, jet skiing, sailing and sail boarding. Along the 230 miles of shoreline you will find a wonderful beach, hike trails and plenty of picnic and camping areas.
Boating
Set sail on a sunset cruise, Sunday brunch cruise or specialty adventure on one of Lewisville Lake's catamaran sailboats. Catamarans are designed for groups of 20 - 100, but rental options are also available for smaller groups.
