Dallas Arboretum

Something’s always in bloom at the Dallas Arboretum, the nationally-known display garden that’s just a short drive from Lewisville. With a wide variety of perennials, annuals and other plants, the 66-acre arboretum and botanical garden has been an oasis of year-round color in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex since 1984. Among the featured gardens is the Jonsson Color Garden, which showcases over 2,000 varieties of azaleas. Highlights also include Texas Town, a group of seven gardens featuring plants that played an important role in pioneer days.

More than 300,000 people visit every year. The arboretum is at its most popular during its annual springtime floral festival, Dallas Blooms, a time when visitors can see daffodils, tulips, Dutch Iris, hyacinth, pansies and other spring flowers in full bloom. Other special events include outdoor concerts and an annual plant sale. The arboretum is also available for corporate events, weddings, receptions and other private functions. Its venues include the DeGolyer Home, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Hours of Operation
The Arboretum opens from 9 am till 5 pm daily and closes only on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Location
The Arboretum is located at 8525 Garland Road, near White Rock Lake in Dallas, Texas.
