Acoustic Friday at the Visual Art League Art Gallery

Weekly open jam and song circle. All acoustic instruments and levels are welcome. All music genres are welcome. Acoustic Fridays are sponsored by the Visual Art League of Lewisville.

 

The Visual Art League (VAL) provided support and promotion to visual artists from Lewisville and surrounding areas, and operates a public gallery where those artists can display and sell their work. Special exhibits are scheduled throughout the year and at supporting businesses. Additionally, the Visual Art League provides art education in the form of classes, lectures, slide presentations, field trips and demonstrations.

The Old Town Lewisville Farmers Market, a seasonal open-air forum for Denton County and North Texas-grown products, will be from May 15 through October 30 (no market on September 25). The market will be open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Wayne Ferguson Plaza in Old Town Lewisville. Vendors still are being sought to sell fresh produce and similar items at the weekly market.

This hilarious musical tale of greed, corruption, love, and revolution takes place in a time when water is worth its weight in gold.  In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets.  The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity's most basic needs.  Amid the people, a hero decides he's had enough and plans a revolution to lead them all the freedom!
